ABOUT US

The Black Church Student is an organization that endeavors to assist in connecting undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students to Black churches* that are within a 15-mile radius** of their college campus.

We want to create a space where students’ spiritual growth and active presence in their respective faith community is an integral part of their college experience.

 

*We define the Black church as a predominately African-American congregation who addresses the African American experience, and affirms the African-American identity while not denying others’.

**We’ve chosen 15 miles for convenience of the student’s travel, and the church’s involvement (or potential involvement) within the college community.
